We will begin with a short welcome and introduction before commencing. We will then proceed with the tea ceremony, sharing a few cups or bowls of tea in silence. Lastly, we’ll save a little time for sharing our experience, coments, questions etc.
This tea ceremony will flow accompanied by a live sound experience performed by Sonando道
Sonando makes sound scapes that lead us to our Inner Silence. Tibetan bowls and ambient guitar textures fuse together with the vibrations of the participants, inviting us to a meditative space where each encounter is unique and ephemeral, just as in life… ichi-go ichi-e.

Introduction to Gong Fu Tea Ceremony

Gong Fu Tea is the pinnacle of the art of tea preparation. In this 2.5 hour workshop, Antonio will introduce you to the art of the Gong Fu tea ceremony and guide you through the steps on how to gracefully prepare tea in this manner. We’ll learn about the history and spirit of this tea brewing method, as well as the particular rhythm and fluidity that it entails while enjoying a very special tea selected specifically for this occasion.

Tea Ceremony for Children

This is a special tea ceremony for children. The little ones love the opportunity to do something grown-ups do. In this case we will be drinking an herbal tea or tissane that doesn’t have caffeine. For this ceremony, each child may be accompanied by an adult.
We will begin with a short welcome and explain how to hold the tea bowl and inform them what the ceremony will consist of. We will then proceed with the tea ceremony, sharing a few cups or bowls of tea in silence (about 30 minutes). Lastly, we’ll save a little time for sharing our experience, comments, questions etc.

Introduction to Japanese Green Tea

This 2.5 hour workshop is aimed at those who want to broaden their knowledge of Japanese green tea. We’ll be taking advantage of the fresh 2019 spring harvest which has just arrived and taste a very wide selection of Japanese teas!!!
Green Tea represents the vast majority of Japan’s tea production, so we’ll be tasting and learning about interesting varieties such as shincha, aracha, matcha, gyokuro, kabusecha, sencha, tamaryokucha, genmaicha, kukicha, bancha, houjicha…
The aim of this workshop is to learn and distinguish the different Japanese green tea categories. To this end we will be brewing the different varieties and commenting on their distinguishing characteristics and differences.
