Introduction to “Chanoyu”, the famous Japanese Tea Ceremony. We’ll cover its history and principles while focusing on the elements related to a proper service. We’ll also explore the various uses and varieties of matcha green tea, a powdered green tea that is used in the tea ceremony and also in lots of contemporary desserts and sweets. This workshop includes a tasting of top-grade organic matcha green tea and an opportunity for participants to try their hand at whisking it.
