Ceremonia del Té

As many of you know, in June we opened a new tea space, right in front of Čaj Chai Teahouse and we’ve named it Ceremonia del Té (you can follow us on Facebook as Ceremonia del Té or on Instagram as barcelona_tea_ceremony). This new space is dedicated to the Tea Ceremony and Cha Dao (the Way of Tea). Here we exhibit and sell handicrafts, teaware and tea accessories for tea ceremonies. We also teach about tea through workshops and tea ceremonies. Lastly, this space serves as a showroom where we teach and train profesionals in the restaurant sector about our selection of tea on offer and how to serve tea properly. This space will not follow traditional opening hours, although you will typically find us open on Friday and Saturday afternoons and by special appointment (email info@teabarcelona.com). Outside of those times the staff at Čaj Chai Teahouse will be happy to assist you with your inquiries.
Here is our schedule of events for October and November:

Tea Ceremony
Friday, October 20 (18:30 – 20:30)

This tea ceremony will be open to the public. Space is limited so we recommend you come a little early to be guaranteed a spot. We will begin with a short welcome and introduction before commencing. We will then proceed with the tea ceremony, sharing a few cups or bowls of tea in silence. Lastly, we’ll save a little time for questions and for sharing our experience etc. Suggested minimum donation 13 €.

Red Tea (Hong Cha) from China, Taiwan and Japan
Saturday, October 28 (10:00 – 12:00)

Limited Seating. Reserve at Čaj Chai Barcelona. Price: 18€ or 15€ for Čaj Chai Club members. Your participation grants you a 10% discount on all of your tea and tea accessory purchases made on the day of the event.

Full Moon Tea Ceremony
Saturday, November 4 (22:00 – 00:00)

This tea ceremony will be open to the public. Space is limited so we recommend you come a little early to be guaranteed a spot. We will begin with a short welcome and introduction before commencing. We will then proceed with the tea ceremony, sharing a few cups or bowls of tea in silence. Lastly, we’ll save a little time for questions and for sharing our experience etc. Suggested minimum donation 13 €.

Tasting Oolong Teas from China and Taiwan.
Saturday, November (10:00 – 12:00)

Limited Seating. Reserve at Čaj Chai Barcelona. Price: 18€ or 15€ for Čaj Chai Club members. Your participation grants you a 10% discount on all of your tea and tea accessory purchases made on the day of the event.

Tasting Green Tea from China, Japan and Korea
Saturday, November 25 (10:00 – 12:00)
